“Communication skills are an essential component in the education of engineering students to facilitate not just students’ education but also to prepare them for their future careers.”  Being able to communicate your ideas well is an essential skill to have that you can foster as early as your schooling days, I’m a firm believer of practice makes perfect, especially when building lifelong skills that goes a long way. Critical Reflection

Module learning: When I first entered this module, I thought that it would just be like any other communication class, similar to those that I have taken back in my polytechnic days. I knew my presentation skills were not perfect but I thought I only needed minor improvements, and as for my writing skills, I was confident that I am above average. However, through the weeks in this module, I have discovered that my thinking was no more than shallow and was wrong in my self-assessment. Throughout the trimester, I have been exposed to numerous writing skills, ranging from formal introduction email to formal research report.
